Call from 989-343-2000 stating they were Bank of America. They left an automated voicemail claiming "We noticed a recent attempted charge of $228.15 at amazon.com. The transaction was declined for your protection. If you recognize this activity, press 1. If you do not recognize this activity, please call us at 833-228-1690. I repeat 833-228-1690." I don't have any Bank of America accounts.

received 3 scam calls from this number last night, all left voicemails saying they were Bank of America and they denied a charge from Apple for >$200. They wanted me to call 833-228-1690 which has been reported as a scam call number.

Called me twice at 4:30 pm for an Amazon charge and later at 11:23pm for an Apple charge I looked up the number 989-343-2000 and found this scammer is using West Branch Rose City High Schools phone number . Beware folks

One message was left that a declined transaction was made on Amazon for $228.15 @735pm (phone call) I think it mention from Bank of America. Then there was another attempt transaction for the same amount on Apple.com at 2am which was declined. This has happen since I added my PayPal debit card on a game to play so locked the card and canceled to get a new card before the other day. it doesn’t show what card it’s declining. No one is going to get money from me when I don’t have any!! Haha

I have received two telephone calls from this number first one stating I needed to confirm a charge to Amazon. The second one was at 1:50 AM asking me to confirm my charge for Apple. The number returns as West Bend Michigan school district in some cases and Robo call and others. Definitely a scam. Definitely not real and definitely not West Bend school district

They noticed a recent charge at apple dot com for 228.15 and it was declined for my protection. If I don't recognize the charge please call them at 833-228-1690. Why do I need to call if they already declined the charge? Definitely BS. Especially at 2:30am. Glad I put my phone on mute when I go to bed or I would have been pissed. Anyway, blocked.

This number called me for the exact same reason everyone else here commented on. One was for an Amazon charge to see if I authorized it or not and the second was while I was sleeping claiming an Apple charge on voicemail. It’s a scam. I looked up the binder they’re calling from, They’re spoofing a school phone number in Michigan, unfortunately.

Same as others - 2 calls in middle of night claimed to be an Amazon charge of $200 plus and 2 calls this morning claiming to be a $200+ Apple pay charge. Number received is from some school in Michigan. Callback number is different.

Received 2 calls from 989-343-2000 with my caller ID recognizing it as a phone number for a school district in Michigan. One at 7:40pm EST, claiming to be Bank of America with a $200+ charge with Amazon. The second at 2:20am EST, claiming to be about a $200+ charge from Apple without stating what bank, and saying to call back at a phone number different from the one I'd received the call from. I don't recall if the first call gave the same phone number as I deleted it immediately.

Just got a call (2:36 am) from 989-343-2000 and left this voicemail "We noticed a recent attempted charge of $228.15 at apple.com The transaction was declined for your protection If you recognize this activity press one If you do not recognize this activity, please call us at 833-228-1690. I repeat. 833-228-1690...” I checked my accounts and none of them showing anything about a denied transaction. Typically I get an app notification and email/text when I have a suspicious activity on my account and I received nothing like that from either banks I use. (I have chime and Bank of America) Also the voicemail from what I can tell did not say what bank they were calling from

They called earlier today as well claiming to be Bank of America and left a message about suspicious charges from Amazon
