typical debt collector. calls about debts a company has charged off and listed as a smaller debt than it really was for bottom-line boosting. debt company starts calling you to get you to enter into an agreement with them, whether verbal or written so DO NOT TALK TO THEM ABOUT THE DEBT/ALLEGED DEBT, then they try to "recover" the dollar amount or the original debt, not the charge-off amount. They pocket the difference between the two, gaining hundreds OR THOUSANDS of dollars by telling you neither that the debt was charged off, nor the charge-off amount.
