Cold call early in the morning, sounded like a call center of Indian origin. Said they were from some "security council". Quoted my name and job title to me, then offered to send me a newsletter pertaining to my industry/field of study if I will confirm my work email address. They then recited to me what they guessed my email address might be.

They introduced themselves as some research firm I could barely understand them because of the heavy accent from India. They said my job title (most likely from LinkedIn) and figured out the home phone number from public records. I said I do not solicit anything for the company and hanged up. )I should not have picked up in the first place but I thought it is the service company I am waiting for the call from and did not want to miss them.)

Number has dialed me four times, rang for about a second then it stopped. Most likely a robocall.
