I have my doubts that the call(s) were legit. First message left was from First Capital Investments, which I've never heard of before. Second time they called, there was no message left, so I returned it. The woman who answered said she was with Alpine Legal Solutions. I don't recall having anything outstanding, so I hung up and Googled the company name. I didn't find anything by that name exactly... Well, she called me back. I didn't recognize the number (it was different from the last one, even the area code) and was expecting a business call anyway, so I answered it. She had all of my information already, I didn't give her any of it. She referenced a card I don't remember having from 2009, with payments stopping in 2016. I never explicitly stated that I was that particular person, but she provided the personal info over the phone anyway... probably some sort of scare tactic. Funnily enough, she refused to provide specifics about the supposed amount owed, when the account was closed, ect. I didn't have any credit lines in 2016, or the year before that (or the year before that)... And even if I had, the statute of limitations would have been expired. She said they were pursuing legal action and it would go on my credit report... I doubt that. The first two calls were from 945-219-5961. When she called me back, the number was 817-753-1638

When I answered it said it was First Capital Investments but when the agent answered she said Alpine Business Solutions. My number was called but it was for my husband so she wouldn't give me any information. If it was a debt within the last 10 yrs, they would have his number. I told her this was an old debt and she got furious, started yelling at me. I told her to send everything via mail, she refused so I told it was not legal to collect on the debt or she'd be able to put it in writing. She hung up on me.
