Six calls in the span of one hour. Phone never rang! Voicemails just kept popping up. Same segment of a recorded message. Left a callback number (I didn’t call). After the last one, blocked the number on my phone. If I DO know someone in jail in Carolina and that was their “one call”, they’re gonna have to think of another friend to call!

I have received numerous calls from this number. I thought it was a wrong number. I called the prison this person was allegedly from. The operator told me to just answer and tell the person he had the wrong number. I answered the call to find out that the caller knew my first name and a volunteer organization that I was affiliated with. Claimed they worked for a prison newspaper and wanted to interview me. Hard no. am fairly certain this was connected to a social media post with my name and number that had been recently circulating. Lesson to not put first name and number on flyers posted on social media.

It's a scam, fake or wrong number at the very least. Don't know anyone in prison and I don't give anyone this phone number so....

I called the number back and it rung like a regular number. This number is definitely part of a scam attempt of some sort. If you were to call back the numbers associated with REAL Correctional Facility Calls you would get a recording that you recently received a call from a correctional facility. These fraudsters are finding more and more ways to try to scam people.
