Caller asked for a relative who has never used my phone number but owns the vehicle that they were trying to ask about (caller had the wrong year, color, and trim package). They said that they were from "Warranty Activation with Toyota" but never actually gave me a real company name. (Toyota doesn't do that kind of thing direct to comsumers as far as I know.) Told them that only an idiot would warranty a car that's almost 10 years old and only a scammer would offer that warranty, not that it mattered because I'm the one that takes care of the car stuff in the family and I absolutely baby those things to get every dollar out of them so no warranty needed. No clue what they thought about that because I hung up. They tried calling again a couple of hours later. I just answered and hung up instantly. Definitely a scam. Ignore them unless you're extremely bored and want to waste some of their time like they want to waste your money.
