Having been a process server, they will call if having a difficult time getting an answer at the address. It's called making sure they do their due diligence in the event they can't get the papers served.

No idea who this is. An American-sounding woman asked if she was speaking to ___(insert my actual name)__. She also mentioned something about being a process server which has got to be bogus. Process servers don't call you. They catch you by surprise in person. Further, this area code is way out of state from me, so even less likely they're a legit process server. I have no reason for anybody to be pursuing legal action against me, so this is just sketchy all around.
