I get calls 3-5 times a day from 888-803-5016. (I blocked the number - it doesn't ring anymore, but it still leaves a voicemail.) Recording says Crate and Barrel calling to schedule my home delivery. I called the number they leave once and spoke to someone. I asked if he was a real C&B employee or a scam artist? He actually asked me for my name which I did not give him. I requested to be taken off the call list in the event he really was an employee. Calls have not stopped. It's infuriating.

WTF? I got this unsolicited call from Crate&Barrel just now about a (fake) online order that I supposedly placed. I have neither stepped inside a Crate&Barrel store in 15+ years, nor have I ever visited their online store even once. Caller had a foreign accent, sounded Indian. When I asked for details about the (fake) order, the scammer would not divulge anything and kept asking for my credit card number, so I'm quite sure that someone is also not placing online orders using my name and phone number. Maybe this is a valid number and scammers are spoofing C&B on Caller ID. Watch out for all unexpected calls! I think the volume of scammers outnumber the volume of viruses during this pandemic!
