I got 8 calls in a row and they leave a voicemail that if this was not you to press 1. When you pick up the phone it is an automated message saying that a “Patricia from Windsor, CA is trying to open an account, if this is not you, please press 1” When you press 1 you get a code from Venmo, but DO NOT FALL FOR IT!” Do not provide the code! They can access your acct with that code. When I called back the number to confirm with a Venmo worker, all you get is a message that says “welcome, this is a response from answer URL, have a nice day” repeatedly then it drops the call. These scammers are getting smarter, beware everyone!
