Just remember, if you get a call claiming to be the bank or your credit card and you aren't sure if it's legit, look up their official phone number and call that. If you say you're doing that and they get angry, that's a guarantee it's a scam.

This is a fake American Express number phishing for scams. Call the actual American Express number on your card. I received two calls from this number and cross referenced it with the Actual American Express Team. Beware. Don't respond to this number.

Received a call from this number, who claimed to be an Amex representative. She knows my name and the Amex Business card I have. I think she wanted to find out the nature of my business and made aware of the available Amex offers. This is probably a survey to see if the card opened was legit, as there was a fraudulent charge on it several months ago after which it was replaced. Later, I received an email from Amex about this call. The email looked legit from Amex.

Wanted to speak to the Owner and CFO whom they named, but wouldn't tell reception anything. Reception told them it sounded like a sales call and that without more information they would not forward the call. "AMEX" ended the call at that point.

Evidently this is American Express, even when my phone was saying suspected spam. I used a soundboard to prank this number, expecting to be retaliating against a spamming dipshit, and the recording showed it was an American Express agent who picked up the call.
