I also got a call from this number and figured it was a scam because the called showed up as a local area code to me, which is red flag #1, and then when I answered it was a pre-recorded message (red flag #2) that said "push this button to be connected to a Vivint customer service representative to discuss your account, or call us at 888-346-9202." I googled the 888 number, which was not listed on the Vivint website (red flag #3) and showed up on multiple spam websites (red flag #4). Also, to call from an area code that is local to that specific customer then request for you to call a different number, is a red flag in itself.

I called Vivint and they said there were no issues with my account and want aware of any reason why someone would be trying to reach me. I had a service call yesterday. Coincidence, I don’t think so! I sent the tech a screenshot and he said looked like a scam! Beware!
