Chris (with a convincing midwest American accent and proper grammatical skills) from the “firm” called from a blocked number, and asked for me (by name), adding my correct address (which is public information, if you own your residence), which I responded by saying this is he. This guy immediately threatened me with potential legal action, and went as far as to say there were several unsuccessful attempts to reach me by mail. Before he could get any more of his com out of his mouth (I already noticed several red flags), I asked for his full name, place of employment, and who or what he was claiming to represent, but he cut me off, then he tried to ramp up pressure on me by saying I was not being cooperative and that he was about to pass on his “potential legal action” to his boss to pursue unless I provided him with personal information and he then listed a docket number to try and put more pressure on me (docket numbers are only created when an actual real case has been filed in court, by the way). After his unsuccessful attempt to make me feel like it was a legit call, I was ready to end the call and stop wasting both of our time, by saying “oh are you calling about sending a donation to the “you can lick my balls fund” and he hung up, but not before his Midwest American accent suddenly changed to an Indian (not Native American but from India) accent and swore at me!
