This apparently is a legit phone number for Truist Bank. BUT................. I've never ever had any accounts, credit cards, or previous interaction with this bank before. In fact, I've never even heard of this bank until tonight. But I get a call tonight at *** 9:30 PM *** from some Indian dude speaking barely intelligible English saying that "due to a security issue, you need to reset your user name and password". My immediate gigantic red flag was the absolutely laughable English spoken by this scammer phoning me from the opposite side of the planet, but he did spoof this number and the Caller ID said "TRUIST", so I at least give him a "D" and not an "F" grade for at least trying to scam me.
