I received a scam call from this number (877) 836-5658 stating that I have missed my Citibank credit card payment last month. They suggested to pay over the phone to bring my account up to date. My account is up to date according to Citibank Customer Service.

This is a legitimate phone number. I wasn't sure so I called the the customer service number on my credit card and I did have a past due balance.
