Social Security Scam

Whoever is running the scam using this number doesn't know what karma is. They have called me 5 times today. They're also spoofing the number 866-887-8997, which is for an office in Louisianna. Keep in mind people, if you are legit getting a call from SSA, it will also be from a nearby office, not way off the chart somewhere. I don't live anywhere near either of the spoofed locations.

God help my elderly mother who is naive enough to fall for this. I had to take her phone away from her. These people have called 4 times today, spoofing the real New Jersey office, and because my mother is getting her social security retirement on Wednesday, she actually thinks this call is legit. This call is not legit.

Received a call from 866-964-5967 about social security number being hijacked - don't know what else to call it. Sounds suspicious to me. Sounds more like hacking!! I did not follow their instructions - decided to check our this number.

Keep receiving calls from this number and similar number, hung up immediately. Been told by other this is a scam and someone trying to scare you into giving your money to them. Hang up,don't answer. I have blocked this number.
