Watch out for OTP scams associated with the number. They scrape your bank logins and get stumped on a 2 or 3 factor authentication step. This usually prompts them to ping your phone or email with an OPT (one time passcode) that looks exactly like the ones you use to authenticate when you access your account. You'll receive this code out of the blue, and not long a number like this will call you can attempt to get the code out of you. Moral of the story: Use 2 and 3 factor authentication wherever you can! Nowadays most modern phones have a built in automated screening so it's likely you'll only see a number attempting to call you and not actually getting through. That leaves it up to you to stay alert for seeming out of the blue codes popping up in emails or texts. Note: Attempting to scambait this number on a virtual machine and a VPN proved unsuccessful. It does appear to be an automated IVR and it will hang up on you if you try to drag the call out.

Scam

They called me as state farm insurers and said they wanted to requote me. I told them I'm already a customer and they they essentially said have a nice day. Strange they didn't know I was already a customer. Unless... They were a scam caller
