I have been getting calls from 628-227-1439, 720-637-9702, 720-650-4566, and 719-283-7080 daily. They never leave a message. When I call back from another number, they say they are AT&T but will not tell me why they are calling unless I give them a bunch of personal information. I finally got one of them to tell me that the name of the department is "AT&T Collections." I don't owe AT&T any money, I am not an AT&T customer and I never have been an AT&T customer. When I tried to confirm with the representative that they were trying to collect money from people who owed money to AT&T, he said that I was making "assumptions." What else would they be collecting, stamps? Rare coins? Bad Karma more likely. When I pointed out to him that AT&T customer service had said that they were a scam he said I should call customer service again and tell them I got a call from this number (866-767-7603) - which is why I am posting here. I did verify that this number, does ring to the same call center. One other weird thing, at the end of the call he asked me to hang up. I told him he should hang up, but he said they are not allowed to hang up on a caller. He finally said that he could if he had my permission... weird.
