The fraud text you receive with phone number 866) 512-5094 is legit. It is the Mercury Card Fraud Dept. It was not a phone call, it was a text. They DO ask you for all of your sensitive info like full card number and social security number, address, etc.

Found a serum on FB and I put in all my info . I recall seeing “ if you pay with a Mastercard” you’ll get a discount . I think it was shipping . Item was free if I agreed to pay for shipping . Before I got finished with CCV I lost the page . Got a text immediately asking me if this was a Valid or Fraud . I purposely used that card cause I was close to my limit . So the scammer is screwed

Text supposedly from Mercury Card fraud department asking if an Amazon Prime charge was real or fraud. First of all, security / fraud does not get involved with $14.99 transactions. I checked my Mercury account and no transactions were posted or attempted. Contacting Mercury directly to double check but this is most likely a scam

Text from 866-512-5094 Mercury Fraud alert when I called them they wanted the whole Credit card number and whole Social Security number. If it was a fraud department they never ask for the full card cause they can find you with your phone number and they were rude. Always call the number on the card do not give out any info.

I called the Mercury card listed on the app (8666862158) and they confirmed not only one fraud hit but two. The number from text is the fraud line but I would use the number on their site (above). It sent me straight to fraud department. Thankfully both attempts were caught because I didn't need another $600 in charges. Merry Christmas
