Do not say anything. Scammer tries to record you voice by answering yes or no. If you respond the scammer can use your voice to bypass security voice authentication prompts on certain types of accounts.

I dont trust this. I never receive calls about refills from anyone other than my pharmacy i get my meds at. This seems very odd and wouldnt trust it

I called my mail order pharmacy and it was not them. Can you check into this? I can imagine this could turn out to be an issue for some seniors.

I do not use OptumRX. I decided to test this when I got the voice recording that said to call back and enter the number code that they gave me. When I called back, it didn't ask for the code, because it recognized the number I was calling from. It did ask me for the year of my birth but not the date. Then it mentioned a current prescription that I already do have. It asked me if I wanted to connect with my Walmart pharmacy. All this time, I was thinking this was a scam and I would get some bogus pharmacy. I said yes connect me with the Walmart pharmacy. It did that. I happen to know the pharmacist. When the call went through I asked what town I was calling, and they verified that it was the town that I live in and then I asked to speak to the pharmacist and he picked up right away. So it DOES connect you with your pharmacy. They said it wasn't a bogus phone call. It is indeed OptumRX. Some new thing that they're doing. BUT - This is bona fide proof that YOUR INFORMATION IS NOT SECURE if they were able to obtain my phone number and the year of my birth when I had to verify, as well as the prescription information! Where did they get that from? I don't like getting calls like this, so I just blocked their number. If I need something from my pharmacy, I'm perfectly capable of ordering a prescription refill online (which is my preferred method), or calling them myself.

Left a message asking me to call them back at a non working number. This number was not listed anywhere on my OptumRX plan card.

This number called twice within 1 min (common tactic to overcome autoblock on some phones where numbers with no caller ID are ignored unless they call back quickly). Left a message saying they were from OptumRx with information about my prescriptions. But they used they used my husband's name (but I'm the insured individual). Provided a 7 digit code to call back with "important health information." the call back number was different than the number that a called. Neither number is on the OptumRx webpage (I'm a pharmacist, and neither number they provided looks familiar). Neither of us have used OptumRx, and my employer doesn't use them either. Called both numbers back from a Google Voice number and neither announced the name of the company just "thanks for returning your health plan's call." Clearly a scam.

Called their website's number (different than this number in the vm message). They confirmed this was also their number. Seems to be an Add On service option for prescription management and delivery, affiliated with BCBS. May be a legit service/company, but they are also using robo calls to market their company and solicit your business in a spammy way. I'm not aware of any required change by insurance and service providers to work through OptumRx for prescription management.

I DO NOT TAKE PRESCRIPTIONS! So therefore this whole call was BOGUS! Nothing needs "refill" because there is NOTHING to refill. Very BAD robocall. Called SEVEN (7) times within 10 min, some blocked by Hiya, but not all. I answered the last one. Foreign accent, bad sounding robocall, had my first name somehow, robo asked if I was _____ which I could not understand. I was silent for a bit, then hung up. I guess that after getting answer they didn't call for the eighth time! They called day before yesterday too, that's why I had blocked it on Hiya. They kept CALLING BACK, 7 times in 10 min!
