The school took my taxes to pay for this perkins loan and the agency told me I can't get my money back because a Tax Offset is perfectly legal and the school is within their rights to do so. They said if I want to prevent this from happening in the future I have to pay it or Navient can pay it through a consolidation....

I got a live person when I called, seems like a call center. They had to verify my information and told me about a student loan in default. I called the school associated and they told me I have an account hold preventing release of transcripts and if Conserve is calling me that I need to return their calls. Robokiller blocks the call because the number is spam but the number they gave me was 800-724-7500, not this one.

Called today and the call was silent. I called back and the woman asked for my first and last name. I asked what company this was and she said Conserve and proceeded to spell it. I asked what they do and she said private services to individuals and businesses. I asked her to elaborate and she could not until she verified it was the correct person. She said she was looking for another person which happened to be a family member. I had them call in and I guess it's a collection agency for student loans.
