The same as several other previous comments about the suspicious automated call voicemessage stating I could incur a possible penalty because of gap in coverage from 2/2023 to dec 2025. First thing I always do, though, is google any suspicious anonymous number, and I saw here that many others received the same spam call.

Scam Part D Medicare

There are false claims that this is a customer service number for Wellcare Part D coverage - it is NOT! I called 1-844-480-0700 (the REAL number) directly and was told they are NOT affiliated with 1-866-319-0174 and not to answer calls or, if you do, give ANY personal information to callers from this number!

The number came up unknown so I didn't answer. Voice message did not identify who was calling. Sounded like a recorded message stating "we found that may have had a gap and insurance coverage from December 1, 2023 December 31, 2025. That may result in a late enrollment penalty. If you had insurance during this time, please call customer service at the number on the back of your ID..." Yeah . . . and I have a bridge to sell you. Sounded like a total scam. I will not respond.

Similar to the June 17 comment, I got a voice message saying there may be an issue with my eligibility due to a gap in coverage. Didn't say who they were, but I had just signed up for Medicare Part D and they had some dates correct. I called my part D plan and they had no record of the call and no issue with my eligibility. So whoever is calling has access to some personal info but is not legit.

My phone labeled the number as Wellcare Health Plan (which I very recently enrolled in for Medicare D). But it became clear the person I was talking to was not connected to Wellcare and was phishing my personal information.
