Alert Wells Fargo You made a purchase of $750 on Homedepot Arizona. If you don't recognize this transaction call us immediately 18662269244 it's a guy in Brooklyn New York and definitely your bank or home Depot will not contact you in this manner definitely a scam and fraud The idea is probably is to get your card number so they can make charges on your card and rip you off don't fall for it. I'm tempted to have some fun with it and tell him I'm a FBI agent and would like to talk to him about this but really why waste my time with scum like that but my concern is how he got my phone number or know I have a home depot account or Wells Fargo account home depot compromised my debit card years ago and it was a employee that got peoples card numbers and made charges on them I'm so tired of scams like this and just don't mess with them know how to tell it banks will never contact you and ask for the information nor will home depot be smarter than that just don't !

I almost fell for this one since I do receive alerts from my credit card company. This text said 'Alert: Capital 1 detected charge for $750 at Home Depot Arizona. If you did not make this charge, call 866-226-9244 immediately'. I called. Man w/ indian accent answered and lots of chatter in background like a call center "Thank you for calling the Capital One fraud department, ma'am". Then I thought, "What kind of idiot am I calling a number like this? Call the number on the back of your Capital One card!" so I did and a person with a thick accent answered and lots of chatter in the background like a call center. Sounded no different from the bogus number I called. However, they did confirm that the phone number in the text is not a capital one number. SCAM.

Scam text that Capital One charge of $750 made in Target Arizonia. Call 1-866-226-9244 if not recognized. Total scam. Called Capital One to verify no such charge make on my card.

Eric Wilson, badge #AE0071 said he was from Experian and that someone from Texas was trying to make a purchase of $300.00 on my Home Depot card, and someone else trying to make a purchase on my Visa card for $420.00 and someone else trying to open a Master Card on my IPhone. He also wanted my last four digits of my social security number which i refused to give him. He gave me his phone number as :1-866-226-9244.
