Someone called me early Tuesday morning from 1-866-217-9764 on Nov 5, 2024, in the state where I live and told me she wanted to meet with me at my residence on Thursday Nov 7, 2024, to replace my Lifeline Device. I then asked her name and who directed her to call me. She then replied whoever my Insurance provider is in my state. Right away I became suspicious and told her I was hanging up. Then about an hour later my sister who lives in another state said a VM was left on her phone for me. That VM was that same # 1-866-217-9764 that spoke to me and on the VM left her name as Ashley with Bank of America stating she wanted to meet with me. I blocked that # and my sister blocked it as well on her phone. This whole thing is so crazy as I am a 71-yr old, retired lady who does not owe anyone anything. I have never been associated with Bank of America. This is scary and disturbing harassment. Maybe someone is trying to steal from me. My advice is to be on guard and do not release any financial info, etc. to anyone calling you from the # in this comment.
