Mark Hill calling from 865-324-6681. He did not want to identify his employer, first claiming to work for the Process Service Office of Sevier County, then when pressed for the company name said he worked for Leighton & Associates. He said there were legal papers to be delivered regarding a lien on a property and that I needed to call 855-753-1345. He said he did not have access to any information about the case or documents, including the issuing court or case number, and that I would need to call the other number to find out. A process server would have that information. I asked if this was an attempt to collect a debt and told him he is required by law to disclose that and to send written notification within 5 days. He became argumentative that I must call the other phone number to find any information.
