This is a temporary number that Door Dash uses to allow a dasher to call the customer without giving away their personal cellphone number if they need directions to deliver your stuff. You can call them back within a certain time frame, 2 of my items ended up with someone else's order and I called back to straighten that out, then the number goes back into the pool and you would get an I'm sorry recording. That may be when the dasher clocks out, or more likely IMHO when a certain amount of time has passed after your order. I ordered stuff from Walmart through their website, and I don't have the DD app, so the dasher must call me directly, that's how they do it. I found the number in a Reddit thread referring to it as a Door Dash number. It's a Boston number, but could probably be used by dashers in any state. I'm in Kansas.
