Lowering credit card debt, solar panels scam. They have been calling for months. When you block one number they call on another. Just block the number. The person who called knew the name and address, they have called countless times before.

The gentleman said he was calling about PECO and Solar panels. At that point I said I was not interested and hung up. Then after when I looked up this number 856-861-3250 I see where it has been reported as a SCAM call under different circumstances.

This is a fake credit card, financing, or student loan forgiveness scam by criminals phoning from India, trying to steal your credit card numbers, Social Security number, and personal information. There are hundreds of these India scams where they pretend to be fake debt collectors threatening you for debts that you do not owe, offer to lower the interest rate on a fake student loan that you do not have, offer you a fake home equity loan based on a request that you did not inquire about, consolidate all your credit cards and debts at 0% interest, or give you an unsecured $100,000 line of credit. This call may begin with a pre-recorded robotic message generated using text-to-speech translation software to disguise the origin of this India scam. The message says that either you are pre-approved for a personal or business loan with no upfront fees and no credit report needed, you quality for 0% or 3% interest rate on all your credit cards due to your prompt payment history that they have been monitoring (fake!), or that you need to complete your application for a student loan forgiveness repayment plan that you previously contacted them about (fake!). If you respond to the call, you get transferred to the India scammer who may ask for you by your name to sound like a personal phone call. The scammer may pretend to be Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase Bank, Citibank, Capital One, American Express, Credit One, Money Tree, or another bank, or from a college, credit or loan service. The scammer tells you that because of your good credit history, he can offer you lower interest rates; he just needs all your credit card numbers and SSN "for verification purposes". These scammers also pretend to be fake debt collectors, threatening you for fake debts and past due amounts that you do not owe. Someone called claiming co name was Energyxchange & they specialize leasing solar panel & systems for people who own their own homes. They provide equipment and give part of savings to the home owner. Claimed to be sanctioned by Duke Energy. Told him not interested unless he first provides information re his company and his program which he said he would send via email but clearly as they never emailed any info they promised but were extremely heavy handed setting an appt they are scammers. Only got an vague email with the appt day and time on it, nothing else! Emailed them back cancelling appt and told them I'd be contacting the states attorney re their scamming and do not call list violation.
