This is a rich scam, well thought out but not accurate. First, they send you a text pretending to be USAA Fraud Dpmt, asking to verify if a charge to your debit card was from you or suspicious. Do not call any # or reply to the text. If you call 855.525.8914. the first prompt will ask for your zip code, do not put that in (they need this to use your debit card without your permission). Next you will be directed to a phone agent that will ask you to verify your identity. They will ask you to give them a first and last name of ANY relative and their DOB. Please do not do this. It is a clear phishing tactic and will never be what USAA asks to identify you by. This is a scam. I called USAA to investigate all of this sus activity further and they confirmed that someone was trying to pre-authorize my card for like 10 different purchases. They also sent an email wanting me to call 'USAA', so I called the USAA # I have, not the one they provided. This is a big scam. Please be smart and do not fall victim to this.

Called pretending to be USAA fraud prevention. Robo-voice asked for zip code, claims it “couldn’t confirm”, caller asked for PIN and sends code to your phone for “verification”. DO NOT provide any info

This is a legitimate number. I made a purchase for $1.00 online, and it got flagged. USAA called to make sure it was me.

Automated message that ask for you name and then proceeds to ask for current living adress. I hung up right after that and called USAA. Message looks to get your personal information to most likely get access to debit/credit card.
