I received a call from someone claiming to be from Goodman and Associates, stating that there is a civil lawsuit against me and requesting my address. This is clearly a scam. They didn't even use my legal name!

Calls my phone, claiming to be a collector with Goodman and Associates. Tried to collect on a 13 year old credit card debt under the threat of impending lawsuit. They claimed they sent a letter that never arrived earlier last month, and tried to stress a payment arrangement. The statue of limitations in NC is 3 years from last payment. THIS IS A CREDIT COLLECTION SCAM. The lawsuit is a lie and they seem to place emphasis on the possibility of me not having recieved they're letter which makes it very likely this is not even a legitimate collection agent.
