I got a call just before 8am this morning with no voicemail. I called the number back and he said his name is leo guilford and he was looking for a house and it was kind of a weird call because he was short with his answers. There a lot of noise in the background- sounded like children. Asked for a FaceTime call and after seeing these comments will not be following up further. Be safe out there

“I’m looking for a house.” With lots of background noise. I had him repeat 3x. When it first showed up the number said VA. Then, it switched to NJ. Like they swapped numbers. I’m a REALTOR so I’m guessing phishing related. I did follow up with a text. Going to block thanks to these reports. +1 (848) 309-4932

Guy called said his name was Jeff Ford and wanted to buy a house. When I asked him detailed questions we would only give yes or no answers. Then he asked to FaceTime. He said he was approved for $800k and wanted to buy a condo in downtown Columbia. He said that he was moving from Georgia but when I asked why does he have a New Jersey number he hung up. He called from 848-309-4932.

Got a call from someone at this number (848) 309-4932 who was completely clueless, speaking a very soft tone saying he wanted to buy a one bedroom one bath house. I asked where he was looking and he said downtown, I said downtown where and they hung up the phone.

A black male called me from this phone number this morning, saying he wants to purchase a house in Downtown Jacksonville for $300,000. I asked him if he has a mortgage preapproval letter. I gave him the mortgage originator information, to make sure he is interested and legit in buying a property. I sent him a link for some properties and he called me in whatsapp and he wanted to video call. From what I saw how he looked, he is in his 30s and shirtless. He said he found a home he wanted and I asked him the address but would not answer, just looking at how I looked. He hung up. He gave me a name as Leo Gilfred and his email is leogilfred@gmail.com. I can not find any info on him in google. Beware!!!!

A male called at 7:15 AM on February 19, 2024, claiming he wanted to purchase real estate in the Columbia, South Carolina area for $300,000 cash. I told him I would need a preapproval letter and told him to send me his info. He hung up.

Has called this real estate agent twice in two months, Jan 16 & today, Feb 8. First time I said he’d need a preapproval letter. This second time he said he was preapproved for $400k. When I asked what financial institution issued it, he said Katy Bank. When I said there was no such animal, he hung up. This time I blocked.

Called from this number. Said he couldn't give me his last name. Wanted to buy a house. I said in Cape Coral, he said yes for around $300,000. Gave me a gmail account, but I looked him up, doesn't exist under his name, phone number or the gmail account he gave me. Beware!
