847-383-4985 - This is a Valid Company call center phone number (Caller ID: "HR Service Cntr"), which is "trunk” phone number used by Multiple Companies such as Glaxo Smith Klein, Ford, Alight (Pension & Benefits) and more. It is primarily used for Company callbacks only. Only employees when calling (who may work from home or office) are redirected through this phone number to call a client of the company they work for. Example: Apple, Inc. also uses a “trunk” phone number by which customers can call AppleCare at 800-APL-CARE (800-275-2273) and are connected to employees that are working from home in the US, UK or elsewhere; which is the same when an Apple, Inc. employee returns a call (from their home) due to hold time or scheduled appointments. Note: A company using this number, such as Alight's employees are prohibited from leaving messages due to personal financial information regarding Pension & Benefits.

This is not a scam call at all. This is the Prudential HR Service Center's outbound call number. It is only used for outbound calls so if you want to call back then call 1-800-PRU-EASY (800-778-3279). It is most likely someone trying to get ahold of you to help with something you initiated. Like retirement, death, or inquiry of Prudential related benefits.

If this was a legitimate concerning issue/call, then they should have left a message. Blocked my number and called back. Message came on to contact my HR department and then disconnected. I blocked it as SPAM. Next time leave a message and I’ll decide if I want to call you back.
