Debt collector for Riverside who outsources their billing and invoicing but doesn’t bother verifying that the actual mailings are going out correctly. Obviously a manager is slacking.

Caller claimed that I still had a balance on an ER visit I made almost two years ago and immediately asked if I would like to make a payment. I told them that I wanted to look at it in my patient portal. The caller said that ER balances do not appear in the portal, which is patently false. I was able to look back in my portal and confirm that I had paid my balance for the ER services they were referencing in full. This number seems to have all the hallmarks of a scam.
