This is NOT United health Care. I spoke with them and they gave me their fraud department phone number to call to report this. I suggest that if you get this call call this number 844-359-7736 and report it to UHC directly. The more calls they get will get results!

The call came from 844-722-2197 and is an attempt to get information via a fake automated health assessment. I verified with United Healthcare (866-679-8774) it isn't one of the company's phone numbers. The advocate I spoke with said the company doesn't do automated assessments for the initial contact. The assessment may be automated for a later one but there is info in UHC's system re that type of call. There was nothing about an automated call in my file.

Robo-dialer calls to check if anyone answers, and if your phone number is active or not. If answering or getting a voicemail, then it knows your number is in use and you are far more targetable. Saves them from trying to scam deactivated phone numbers, deceased individuals, businesses vs. people, etc. and streamlines the scam process. This one claims to be United Healthcare, but leaves an AI message 'sorry to miss you' even if speaking and pressing buttons on the call. This is not the real number they're calling from, and there is nothing you can do about it on your end. Would require US Gov. action, which would require their acknowledgement of the powers grated them under the Patriot Act, and that they have had the ability to control and that they do actively monitor and store ALL calls since the early 2000's. Whistleblowers have noted as much since 2003, but it is a well-established practice and far more efficient now 20 years later. In other words - the US Government is sanctioning the scamming of their citizens to cover up their activities and abilities used against their own citizens. A far more egregious affront to privacy and against the claimed honoring of 'protection against foreign & domestic threats' that every member of the government at every level has sworn an oath to uphold and defend.

This is a toll free number but I have gotten dozens of calls from numerous numbers ll no listed owner name but they’ve all originated in a lower corner of Kansas the maps online show. Home near two small lakes or ponds I first started getting domed when I last went online to check car insurance? These folks bombed me by phone mostly all numbers from the state I’m at some toll free? All go back to that map online they call never leave a voicemail

Hello this is United healthcare calling with an important health message we are sorry we missed you we will call back later to reach you or you may complete your assessment online at self assessment.com 24 hours a day seven days a week thank you and have a nice day…” They left this voicemail, but knew it had to be scam or something. They didn’t even mention my name to say this call was for me and so it just didn’t feel right. So I blocked their number and so should you.

Today, even though the phone did not ring, the same number as a robo call I received on February 8th left a voicemail from an automated voice. I had to dig into the “more options” just to learn the phone number of the caller -- 844-722-2197. This does not match the number on the back of my insurance card, but the voice claimed to be United Health Care. It said they were sorry they missed me, which must be a lie since my phone did not ring in the first place. It claims the call was about a self-assessment, which tells me someone is trying to obtain a lot of personal information.

I picked up and asked, "Did I fucking ask you to call me?" That tripped then of their script. Then I told them to jump off a bridge or leap in front of a train or swallow an entire bottle of pills.

I got a robo call this morning from 844-722-2197. On my T-Mobile screen, it claimed to be United Health Care, but my screen also warned me it was a scam. My call log shows Survey Call. The recording advised I could press 6 to opt-out and that this call would be recorded. As soon as I heard that, I pressed 6 to opt-out, then blocked the number. Because I did not play along, I don't know what it really wanted, but I assume it was a call phishing for information.

If you get a call from 844-722-2197 asking you to complete an assessment, block the number. They give a website to complete the assessment at and it then pops up that the site is not secure. Block and delete the message.

Inbound call didn't have identification name. Left 30 second voice mail. Said she's with United Healthcare wanted survey on service. I'm new to them & haven't had any doctor visits so I'm skeptical. Formerly many years Aetna but they & my doctors group failed to a negotiated contract. Oh well .....
