Someone claiming to be Bluehost. They call warning of malware or trying to bully people into upgrading. I don't even listen to the first whole sentence any more.

Look out for names like Brandon Becke possibly posing as a rep for HostGator, BlueHost, Constant Contact, and others, who will go by working for Endurance, Newfold Digital, and SiteLock itself, running a scam that goes like this: He, or someone claiming to work for one of these companies, and maybe the companies are in on the scam, will say your site or digital assets have been breached with viruses, malware, etc, and to call right away but here's the thing, in many cases, they haven't been. You can use third-party tools that will tell you if you have been or not, though I've read other reviews of scammers like this and Brandon Becke himself potentially compromising your site just to infect it just so they can call or email you to call or email them. Then, once you call them they will claim to help fix your site or issue for a fee and a subscription to SiteLock, sometimes through Endurance or Newfold Digital, with fees on top of this, and a monthly subscription to SiteLock "just in case" for protection..." but it's all a scam a giant scam.

I have yet to actually pick up any of the calls I keep getting weekly from this number. It shows as being from my webhost BLUEHOST but they have no reason to be calling me so I never picked up. My site was fine, I had no messages or emails from them. They also never left a voicemail. In May after a few more mystery calls my credit card was charged a surprise $200+ transaction from Bluehost. Thankfully my bank marked it as Fraud and the charge didn't go through. I had no payments due at this time, so I got on chat with them to figure things out. After lots of back and forward they weren't able to tell me why they tried to charge me extra, and then they supposedly needed the last 8 digits of my credit card to confirm with their billing department. HUH!? I've never had any company need more than the last 4 digits. No way I am giving you 50% of my card number. Needless to say I switched hosts. Stay away from them.

He identified himself as Brandon Becke from my webhost company. (He works for the parent company) He called me to say that my website was being redirected and said that it was infected. He asked me to log in to my website and check it. The webhost company's front page had an error message. I couldn't log in. He said that it that was a system error, it would eventually be repaired. (I believe Brandon actually did it because he was trying to install a keystroke recorder.) He explained there were site health issues to address. I said I know. But there is nothing to teach me how to fix what is in that list. He again said my website was redirected. And because he couldn't see it, he asked me what the purpose of the website. I said real estate. He started going down a list of reasons why leaving a site redirected was bad for business. I interrupted, and said, "I know that. How do I fix it if I can't log in?" He again said that was a system wide issue. He said that there has to be malware and his software would clean it out of the database and files. I told him I already have a malware program. He said that only keeps them out. It doesn't get them out once they are in, because they have a timer and they try again from the inside. $300 will solve this problem. He called to help. He called to solve a problem (I didn't and don't have) for $300! I told him I had a $323 light bill last month. (Fact) I have to feed 7 people in my house. (Fact) I have to feed my kids. I was so livid. He in the same calm voice tried the same script. I interrupted to say, "You called to help me. You made my problem worse. Now you want $300 to fix your mistake? I am so angry. Good day" and hung up. Clearly I dodged a rocket launched grenade! He's got some notoriety: https://websitesforgood.com/beware-of-malware-scams-sitelock-hostgator-and-an-angry-web-girl/
