They left a vm to call right away. Which I did, several times, just for fun. Apparently, these scammers don't know that the SSA won't call you and certainly won't call you on a Saturday. I told them I was reporting them to the SSA.

This is a fake Social Security services scam call by criminals phoning from India, threatening to sue you or arrest you for fake unpaid back taxes or unpaid credit debt. The scam often tries to threaten and coerce you into driving to a bank to wire them thousands of dollars. These fake IRS, Social Security, and credit/loan scams either ask for your credit card number or want you to directly wire them money from a bank while they stay on the phone with you. Basically, it is an extortion phone call. The IRS and Social Security will never phone you like this, threaten to sue or arrest you, and demand immediate payment. They are actually required to mail you paper letters instead. More than 99% of all North America phone scams originate from crowded phone rooms in India that run numerous fraud, extortion, and money laundering scams every day ranging from fake pharmacies to posing as fake IRS officers collecting on "unpaid back taxes", pretending to offer fake health insurance or Social Security services, car warranty and credit card consolidation services, posing as Microsoft or HP to say that your software needs renewal or they detected a problem with your computer, falsely stating that they installed ransomware virus on your computer and you need to pay them money, etc, and the scammers try to obtain your credit card or Social Security number and personal information. Some scammers also try to gain your trust by looking up the name associated with your phone number and asking for a person by name when they call. Some India scammers also phone you with an initial pre-recorded robotic female voice speaking English to disguise their foreign call center, but then your call gets transferred to an East Indian scammer with a thick accent. India scammers do not care about the U.S. National Do-Not-Call Registry and asking scammers not to call does not work. I love to toy with these scammers and keep them on the phone for over an hour by pretending to be interested in their scam. You do these scammers a favor by yelling at them and quickly hanging up. But you ruin their scams by slowly dragging them along on the phone call and giving them fake credit card numbers and personal information. It really is very simple and easy to avoid getting scammed by phone and email - never trust any unsolicited call because they are often scams, and most scam calls originate from India. No other foreign country has big noisy sweatshops filled with phone scam criminals.

A man with an urgent sounding Indian accent, speaking very quickly had me convinced that my SS number was used to buy a Toyota and then found abandoned in Southern Texas with drugs and blood in it! Not only that but wire transfers were made using my SS # outside of the U.S. He went onto explain that I had to get a new SS # and I should put all of my accounts into a "safety card" which can be gotten at a local Target store! Well he really had me going until I looked up the number on google and found this! I consider myself to be a smart, aware person but wow these people are getting quite sophisticated! After I called him on his BS, I got a call not 10 minutes later from a local police station with the number of that police station coming up on my phone! It was the SAME GUY he said his name is Raymond Scott... Wow you think it'll never happen to you!!

Robocall, voicemail message. Stated it was Social Security Administration, and I need to call back ASAP. The number given was not recognized by the Social Security Administration when I called the number on their web site.

Left an urgent message saying they were from federal bureau of crime and investigation and there is a problem with social security number. However, after calling the real number for Social Security Administration they informed me they never reach out by phone and would never leave a message to call. They only send mail or a human to the house.
