I initially fell for it because I did request a new prescription about 3 hours before they left a robo-voicemail. when I called back someone picked up but it took forever for them to acknowledge me while I said “hello” & listened to people in the background. the guy laughed as he started talking, tripped over his words, and interrupted me. they got my name and member ID but once I realized they needed me to verify every detail for them I googled the number. I asked how they knew I requested a new prescription today and he said they didn’t. when I said “so this is a scam” he told me to look for the phone number on the back of my health insurance card. I told him the number wasn’t on the back of my card and he went silent. I suggested acting lessons.

Left voicemail: "“Hello this message is for XXXX. I am calling with some important information about your medication. Please return this call at your earliest convenience and we will be happy to assist you. Our toll-free number is 833-879-1256. We look forward to hearing from you to avoid future calls such as this. Please call us toll-free 833879125…” The "to avoid future calls" is laughable but probably "works" for them.

Caller from this number intentionally mumbled to where I couldn't understand him. I made out "pharmacy" and "medication information." He asked for my ID number, at which point I told him I didn't know who he is, so how about he gives me HIS ID number. He mumbled something about if I had any further questions to call the number on the back of my card.

These people pretended they were calling on behalf of my insurance carrier. They wanted personal information, which I refused to give them. They clearly are a scam and you should not give them any information or verify any information. This has to be part of the stolen US Treasury data scam by the Husky Musky and his roving band of teenage thugs.

She pretended to be from Anthem and needed ALL of my personal details. When she asked for my medical ID, I became suspicious and looked online. SCAM SCAM SCAM Trust me when I say that I told her about herself. Warn your loved ones!

Said they had an update about a prescription. In order to protect my privacy they needed to make sure they were speaking with me and asked for my medical ID number. I told them no way in heck was I giving private info to someone who called me from a random number. She said to be sure to call back on this number if I needed help refilling my prescription.

She left a voicemail and part of it sounds like a recorded message when you call and are on hold for a representative then it switches to a woman named “ Marshall pharmaceutical technician from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield” that repeats the same message three times and pressed pound at the end when no one answered. Then finally leaves a message saying they’re calling regarding my health plan and to call back with hours M-F. They did know my name (first and last) so be careful!!

Scammers!! Told them my cell phone was about to die and asked them to call back on another line. Gave them the number to the regional FBI office.

March 28, 2024 A man called, and new both my name and health insurance company, he said their was an issue with my upcoming prescription refill, and that he needed my date of birth, and member number to verify that I was the correct person to speak to. I told him that I was not comfortable giving my number over the phone because of telephone fraud, and he quickly told me to call the number on the back of my card and hung up. I typed his phone number into google, and it showed this website.

These guys said there from my health insurance and they knew my name and then wanted to know what medication I was taking. They then said that there was a mix up on my medication and that if I did not give my social security number and my pharmacy that I used, I would pass away or die!! No joke. I refused This was really scary. The person calling was a lady and she sounded like a legit person.
