This is the USPS, they helped me out a lot with my business shipping needs. I really don’t understand why people would think this is a scam. It’s really sad that this is what the world has come too.

Post office scam. Received a call a half hour ago from someone called ‘June’ who claimed to be with the postal service. The following is the transcript. No one from the post office would be this incompetent during a call screening, this is a scam. ‘June from USPS. I didn't June call you from the state postal service. I am reaching out to the news commercial solutions. Get, if you have question, **** assistant, please give us a call back. Our number is 833-877-7249. Again, this is United States Postal Service, 833-877-7249. Look forward to speaking with you soon. Thank you.‘

If this number genuinely belonged to the USPS, White Pages reverse lookup would be able to verify that. They can't. It doesn't.

If you search the number on Google or Yahoo, you get a USPS site warning you about scams. I had a message with a man's voice saying the same thing and giving the same callback number. It's a scam.

I agree with the above comment. It is just the US Postal Service with a no pressure offering of their services. No big deal.

A Doug called wanting to talk about marketing mail. This is a complete scam.

November 16, 2023

I answered the call because TrueCaller App showed it as coming from Postal Service SMB Marketing Programs, and since I take online surveys and such, I thought maybe it was from one of those places. The guy on the other end asked for me by my name and I said that I was who he was looking for. Then he said he was calling about a complaint or issue with an USPS delivery that I was having. I told him I didn't have a USPS postal delivery problem and didn't understand what it was about. He apologized for bothering me and said it must be a mistake on their end. Told me to have a nice day and said goodbye. I sure hope I don't have anything to be worried about here!
