I got a call from this number, but did not answer it. After checking here, I checked CapFed. From Capital Federal's main website: Telephone Scam (August 22, 2019): Please be aware, there is a new telephone/text phishing scam in the area. This specific scam is a text message and phone call wanting to verify a recent purchase and requesting debit card information. The phone number may appear to be a Capitol Federal® Savings Bank number and the person may say they are acting on behalf of the Bank and ask for confidential information. Please do NOT give out personal and confidential information (this includes social security numbers, card information and 4-digit PINs.) As a reminder, Capitol Federal will ONLY ask you for verifying information over the telephone when you, the customer, initiates the phone call. If you ever have a question about a Capitol Federal® site, phone call, text or email, you may always call to verify it at 1-888-8CAPFED.

I got a voicemail like this, from Visa representing Capitol Federal Savings. I called CapFed customer service and they verified that they have outsourced fraud prevention to Visa and that this phone call is legitimate. However, if you don't feel comfortable with that, you can call CapFed customer service and deal with them directly.

As others have said, it's a robot voice claiming to Capitol Federal, calling about possible fraudulent charges on my bank card. They had the last four digits of my card my full name. Scary! Clearly a fraud.

They called claiming to be Capitol Federal bank on a Sunday morning (when banks are closed) claiming I needed to call them back about possible card fraud. They had my full name and the last four digits of my card. The voice was obviously automated.

They had my full name and the last 4 digits of my credit card number. They said they were from visa and they needed me to call them back immediately, to verify a potential fraudulent charge on my Visa card. The made it sound like there was someone trying to make an unauthorized purchase with my account and they needed me to verify the purchase.
