Fake imposter posing as United Healthcare. Dude had a very thick Hindi accent and could barely speak English, just saying that he was United Healthcare and he needed to confirm my Social Security and Medicare numbers. I am way too young for Medicare and I've never used United Healthcare. Beware of these identity theft impostor scammers!

Called them, asked them to give me part of my address since they wouldn’t be able to disclose my info without authenticating me first and I didn’t want to disclose it either. They knew the first few numbers and other bits of info. After I authenticated too, they were able to tell me all about my account, payment history etc. So people, let’s not just assume everything is a scam. It’s a political epidemic, if you catch my drift.

He knew my full name. Said that the first UnitedHealthCare card sent to me had a misprint on the bar code. Needs to verify my home address and get the card number so they can rectify it. I told him that UnitedHealthCare already has that information. He had a foreign accent and talked really fast. I told him to slow down. I asked where was he calling from. Where was he sitting? He muffled the phone and said he is in the United States. I said Where in the United States. He said a foreign name. I said What state? He said he was not allowed to reveal that information. I said that I would have to review my mail and call back on Monday. He said I could call back tomorrow. I told him tomorrow was Sunday. I would review what I had in the mail and call on Monday. I said that since the information only goes one-way for him, that I do not trust him. He said see you later and hung up really fast. He called tonight, Saturday Night, at 8:57pm Eastern Time from displayed phone number 833-845-8798. I thought it was a really odd time to get a business call from my insurance company. I tried to look up the phone number on internet and got this Robokiller page. So, I am reporting so that others are not sucked in.
