Life insurance SCAM!!!! Caller had South Asian accent - Indian or Filipino.

I received a text message from someone asking me to stop calling them, and that they are getting 25 calls a day from a machine wanting to give them a loan, and to please stop, and pass it on. I texted this person back wanting to let them know it wasn't me who called. I wrote my name, my age, that I was disabled, city I live in, and that the call did not come from me. 2 minutes after finishing the text, I received the same call wanting to give me a loan (of which I receive about 25 a day), from this person's phone number. Don't know what's going on but this is getting just a little too creepy. I'm hoping I didn't do some damage by answering that text message.
