They claimed to be The Nature Conservancy, they had my name an old address and email, and knew I'd been a prior donor. Felt convincing! I was sold! But I opted to donate with a credit card instead of my account info. Good thing, as about 15 minutes later someone used my card info to ring up $599 at Walmart.com. The "rep" sounded well educated, personable, and prepared, with no harsh pressure tactics. Maybe it truly is just a coincidence, but the promised info hasn't come through to my email, and now I don't think I will ever donate to anyone who calls ever again.
