I received a text from the number 20342, which read, "Wells Fargo: Do you recognize $94.77 @CHIPOTLE $75.00 @APOSTROPH on card 9939? Reply Yes or No. STOP to stop msgs." I replied "No," and it replied, "Wells Fargo: Thank you for your reply. The card has been blocked for security. Call 833-239-8632 immediately. STOP to stop fraud alert msgs." I called the number and was met with the exact same robo operator voice as the real Wells Fargo support line. However, after it asked me to confirm my account details by giving the last 4 digits of my card number, it said there was a problem verifying and asked me to speak or enter my full card number. At this point, I hung up, googled this number, and found nothing in relation to Wells Fargo. Then I called the number on the back of my card, had it cancelled, and reset all potentially compromised passwords. What's confusing and concerning to me is that the $94.77 Chipotle charge was fraudulent, but the 'Apostrophe' charge was legitimate. There's something fishy going on for sure, but why ask for my full card number by phone if they already somehow have access to my transaction history? Trying to go for my social security number too? Strange and scary...

Scam
I called the real Wells Fargo Fraud Dept. They don't know this number.
