caller said his name was Captain Roy Williams and will try to scam you thru apple pay, venmo, zelle. Said they do not take any form of C.C. payment or info over the phone since the call is being recorded. However will you give you other phone numbers for you to send money to.

Claims to have truck in my area tomorrow to pick up used clothing. When I asked where my area was, all the person could say was "Austin". Could not/would not give neighborhoods where the truck would allegedly be. I fell for those scam two years ago. I told the caller I would not be available at certain times. I returned home for lunch and found four males attempting to break into my house through the garage door. I called for backup and held the four at gunpoint. (I am a police officer.) We booked all four criminal aliens who were ALL carrying firearms. A local attorney bailed them out of the county jail. All four disappeared. Be very wary of unsolicited call from "charitable" organizations. If you have items to donate, there are plenty of legitimate charitable organizations you can call to pick up your donations.

Kept trying to get me to say “yes I can hear you” then said he was with the Texas disabled veterans committee. Call came up as charity call on caller id with phone number
