Got the call everyday for two weeks. If you call back there’s music as if you were on hold then a person answers saying “student loan assistance program. how may I help you?” It’s a scam! But it’s a good one.

I ve never had a student loan & they threaten to garnish me. Get them Robo

Left a voicemail on 11/6/20 and said I had 90 days to sign up for loan forgiveness or an income based student loan or else they were going to garnish my wages. I already have worked with my student loan provider and am on forbearance til June 2021 due to the pandemic and lost wages. So no, I will not be calling Amanda back.

Claims from the federal student loan. Peaces voicemail almost threatening tone that my wages will be garnished etc. Hahahaha I've never had a student loan and when you keep calling them back like they did you they don't like it. But they're doing the same thing.

Student loan forgiveness. Uses Covid to prompt scam.
July 27, 2020
The call came in as "Potenial Spam" (thank you verizon) and after 1 ring the call went straight to voicemail. This was the message left. "Hi this is Jessica from Federal Student Loan Assistant Center. I'm calling to discuss the Department of Education forgiveness program being offered due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of the lawsuits against Navient /Nelnet in great lakes there has been negligence found and several files are up for forgiveness. Please give us a call back so we can look into the files and see what we can help you with. The phone number here is 817-345-0891, any of us can help you, give us a call thank you"

REPORT THEM TO FCC https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 Called my elderly parents and left a voice message saying that I qualified for forgiveness because of COVID and lawsuits against student loan companies. I have been stuck paying loans for over 20 ys so I know its BS. The person did not have a foreign accent btw. My parent called me all concerned because they used the name Federal Loan Assistance Program. My parents are not associated with my loan they didn't even mention me but my parents automatically assumed. Warning this can confuse elders. My parents know to call me but others can get scammed.

jessicaaaaaa wanted to help me get loan forgiveness due to covid-19
June 26, 2020
Jessica called said student loan forgiveness blah blah - my student loan was paid off years ago. Odd thing was my phone didn't ring..went right to voicemail

I'm not even in college yet, but they left a voicemail claiming they were a part of some branch of the Department of Education. It was especially fishy when I noticed they had an area code corresponding to Texas whilst I was in Florida. Out of state loan reductions are definitely something to consider as a scam.
