I, too thought it was a scam. NOT A SCAM- PLEASE READ. I received a call from 800 613 0833 as well and I immediately rejected the call and dropped the number that called me into Google. I did find a lot related to AAA, but wasn't sure what was legit and what was not. I read the comments here and was like, it's a scam for sure. I went and checked my account because I did just pay my AAA 2 days late. Everything was good in my account. HOWEVER, the same number called again about 10 mins later, so I picked up the call and figured I will have some fun with the scam caller. (I love messing with scammers!) After a pause, A nice lady came on, knew my name and said she was with AAA and my roadside service was going to be cancelled. Before I could start with the "My account is in good standing, why are you calling, etc" verbiage, she started apologizing because she now sees that it was indeed paid. She apologized again and explained their system had an update and seems to have caused issues on their side. I told her about all the scam complaints online and she said AAA is aware and working on a fix. So, I looked back at some of the complaints online and all the comments have been in the last 2-3 months and onothing prior. After looking further Into this, I feel good in saying the AAA 800 613 0833 is indeed AAA accounts calling.
