Maybe scammerz have hijacked this number that *supposedly* is used by DirecTV, but I have never ever had DirecTV service (or *ANY* cable tv service for that matter), and I get this call at ***11 PM*** on a Sunday night from some Indian dude who can barely speak English saying that DirecTV has charged my credit card due to equipment that I have not returned. And on top of never having been a DirecTV customer, the scammer asked me for my credit card number when I told him that I have never been a DirecTV or AT&T tv or phone customer before. I then asked him, "If you said that you have already charged my credit card, you should thus already know my card number, correct?" I think I caught him momentarily at his scam. He paused and then told me, "I need your card number so I can refund you the charges that we made." I get alerts on all charges to my credit card, so again I knew he was lying. I played with the scammer some more and told him, "I usually charge all online purchases to my Diners Club card. Would you like my Diners Club number?" He did not get the joke because he obviously was clueless about Diners Club. After toying with him for another 10 minutes, including giving him 4 different fake Visa and MasterCard numbers (just 16 random digits), he hung up on me lol
