Called, so I picked up and heard the background sounds of a call center. No one actually said anything to me when I said "Hello?" and, in fact, hung up on me.

They stated they are with comcast and that a software update needed to be done on our equipment because they updated the fiber in my neighborhood. They said they would push out the update to my equipment but it would cost 163.00 dollars. When I asked for my account number they said it was against company policy. They became very rude and pushy. I hung up and called comcast and they said no updates or upgrades were needed. They also said that they could verify account number. SCAM Alert
