woke up today to see i'd missed two calls while i was still asleep (i always put my phone on that 'do not disturb sleep mode' setting 'cause i struggle with insomnia already and can't get back to sleep if i'm woken up by cell phone noises), it was this number + seems like it may have been at least auto-dialed or something in my case because the two calls were back to back with not even a minute apart; both being logged in my phone as 8:55 AM (in my regional US east time). i don't answer the phone for any number that isn't already in my contacts or that i'm not previously aware of for some sort of hypothetical expecting call, in large part because i am autistic and struggle with severe social anxiety from that, so i'm unsure of what those two calls would have actually sounded like or said. no voicemails were left either so i'd definitely assume it was some sort of automated bot dialing that moved on to the next number on the list when mine didn't engage by picking up. i have an iPhone, so my phone gave the number the title/name "Account Services" (no little 'verified caller' checkmark on it, either) and also adds that the number is 'unknown' when i tap the info button for more details of the caller. so, even though i have no idea what these messages would have said, or if a real person vs an AI generated/pre-recorded voice would have been the voice spoken, i think it's more than fair to assume that this is a scam number using bot/s to just dial as many numbers as they can until they potentially reach someone who will actually pick up the phone or believe whatever message is being told to them. the 1-800 in the number also pretty much confirms it being a scam for me since those 800 numbers are typically associated with toll free hotlines/info call centers advertised on tv/contest entry phone lines/etc etc. block and move on!
