Stopped fraudulent charges to our credit card

This is a scam call trying to get credit card information by pretending to be a bank/a fraud department. I can’t find anywhere online about this being a legit number and have had many people ask me if this is their bank. Don’t give full credit card information ever.

The number 800 308 6995 is NOT fidelity, I repeat, it is not FIDELITY. as mentioned by many others, it is a scam to get your information. Someone below with the nickname Llc made a comment that it is not a scam. do not believe him. he is probably working for the scammer. call the number on the back of your credit card. do not respond to ANY calls that you did not originate.

I verified with Fidelity (called # on card) that the 800 308-6995 was them. Also on the vm they left, they did state “Fidelity” and my last 4.

A woman left this voicemail: "This is the cardmember service fraud prevention department calling for [my full name]. We need to verify some recent activity on your REI credit card ending in [number] in order to prevent possible difficulties using your card. It's important that you call us back at your earliest convenience tollfree at 800-306-6995 to verify this activity. Your case ID is [xxxxxx]. Please have this number available when you call back. You may call us back 24 hours a day seven days a week. It's important we speak with you. That number again is 800-308-6995. Your case ID is [xxxxxx]. Thank you." I checked with US Bank and there is no activity on my card. This is a phishing attempt. The reports below that say things like "legit call" or "DO NOT BLOCK EVER" (lol) were likely posted here by the scammer. Don't fall for it.

I had a missed call, called back, and when somebody answered-she immediately asked: “may I have a full number of the credit card?” Wow! I asked “did I hear you right? FULL number and not just last 4 digits?” She said “yes, full #”… I said “no, you did not even ask me my name yet…” she said that would be her next question… 🤔 I told her NO way you are a legit service & hung up. Now I worry about how many people they actually managed to fool & get credit card info from them… Please don’t give them FULL number!!

This company actually texted instead of calling. They said they suspect fraud of 14.22 from Amazon on my bank card. I pressed 2 to say it is fraud as I do use Amazon a lot. They then said to call 800-308-6955. So I called. It's all automated. They knew my name and said to press 2 if it was correct. That's when I hung up. I called US Bank and they said it is a phishing attempt. I blocked the number but it was scary that they knew my name. I can assume all these positive reviews are all scammers too.

I answered the call and waited while an automated system connected me to a human. A woman with a Caribbean accent claimed to be with a fraud alert system connected with this credit card and wanted info on recent charges to the card. The automated system knew my name and the last four of the card number. I asked the human to prove to me that she was actually with U.S. Bank. She could or would not and asked me to call the number on my card. My gut feeling is that this number is a scam operation and I will block it in my phone. However, I see in this and various other websites that quite a few people believe this number is legit. I don't believe it. Normally I would not answer a call from a toll free number that I don't know because they are likely to be scam operations but today for some reason I did.

Voicemail left from this number, claiming fraud on my c/card. The phone number didn't match the one on my card, so I did not call it. I did call the real Customer Service number on my card - there is no fraud, the call was a scam trying to get information to create fraud. This number also shows up on other services as being used for scams against multiple companies. BEWARE!
