I didn't answer the call, a message was left identifying that call was from PNC Bank requesting I return the call as they have important information for me. I haven't used a PNC credit card in over 10 years.

Just another credit card debt or rate reduction scam. They're all fake, they're all frauds. They misrepresent themselves and will do nothing for you. There are lots of legitimate rate and debt reduction programs - call one of them if you need help. These Indian scammers are all fake.

Today (July 31, 2020), I received yet another unwanted call from 800-282-7541. This "caller's" number is known to me as a spam/scam number. Due to the number of such calls that I receive, I no longer answer my telephone. I let all calls go to voice mail; after which I check for legitimacy. The callers from 800-282-7541 never leave a message; but the calls are nonetheless unwanted and should be blocked.

When I returned the call on my caller ID 1800 282 7541 the answer ribot or recorded answering stated "thank you for calling boy spanking technique" I said what the F!!! I was very upset n hung up! Well I called again to see if it really said that n when they answered again this time it only said thank you n the rest was interuped n started asking for my credit card number!! These people are EVIL!!!!

I got a similar call, but the name was "Jessica". I then reported this to PNC's abuse box and they wrote back saying it was legitimate. We are debt free and this was definitely a robocall. I think PNC is mistaken and has been spoofed.

I called back the caller id number and they answered as PNC bank, not sure if really true or they are using one of PNC's bank customer service numbers. But kept the initial caller on the line for 10 minutes wasting his time, he couldn't tell me anything to verify who they/he was, but he kept trying, finally gave up! I had time to waste on them today. Do not give out any info if you are not positive who it is !!!

I wish there were an option under "Who Called?" for "N/A" or "Did not answer call." for those who were not able to answer the call or who did not receive a voicemail message. My boss received a call at home from this number, but he was on the other line at the time. Given the high number of reported scam calls for this particular toll free number, I chose "Scam (Other)" for the Category.
