AS with everyone else, I received a call from this number saying my daughter's address had been changed and someone had charged two phones to our account. I hung up and didn't answer when they called back. Now our phones aren't working and I'm trying to get things settled through chat on Verizon's website.

Same story. They called my husband claiming that we were hacked. He gave them the account information to access our mobile app. Then sent payment to them. He got suspicious and called Verizon fraud department. While on the phone with Verizon, they used app access to cut our service off where we couldn't contact each other. Then they contacted me and tried to get information out of me. I looked up their number and saw that they were a scam. Called them out on it and they (of course) denied it. I immediately called customer service with Verizon. We were scammed out of money. Beware.

Same as everyone else, but I actually fell for it and got scammed into sending a payment of $150ish dollar. Feel so stupid. I have the flu and the call woke me up from a nap, so I was not at my most clear-headed. Realized right after I sent the payment what a mistake it was and told them i didn't trust them and hung up. I called and talked to the real verizon immediately, and my bank, and changed all my passwords etc. What a pain, can't believe I fell for it, even when sick!

Said they were from Verizon, someone tried to buy an iPhone 16 with my account. She had my landline phone number, my password, my name, my address. I've been getting texts for months from Verizon saying here's the code you requested when I didn't request one so I really thought this was legit, that someone finally hacked me. She said she was going to transfer me to their fraud department, and I just suddenly got uneasy and said I would call Verizon myself and go from there. She said to call the number that was on Caller ID, and I thought, yeah, no, I'm going to call the online posted number. I did and there was nothing wrong on my account, and I see on here, I'm not the only one that almost got scammed.

They almost got me, the same as all the other comments. I received a call from Verizon saying that someone purchased my account to pick up 2 iPhone 15s in New York. She sent me a link to reset my account, but when she gave me a password to input instead of me making a new one, that's when it got suspicious. I hung up. She called back several times, but I logged into my Verizon account and changed my passwords. I then called the fraud department to verify, and it was indeed a scam!!

I recently received a call about my Verizon account. The story that two phones were ordered. Complete con artist. They tried to have me reset my account password. They tried to FaceTime from custmerservicevz@gmail.com. They are getting better. Hope these folks are caught.

I have received 4 calls from this number. Twice within 2minutes of one another. Have told me that my wireless account was almost hacked and I needed to speak with a representative. When I told them I will log in on my computer to change my password they hung up on me and then called me right back with the same story. When I told them we just spoke literally a minute ago they hung up. Called me again tonight. Argued with me that my account was being hacked. When I told them they have already called me, man denied it...I read back the days and times he had called. When he found out I work with cyber security he made a sarcastic comment and hung up on me again. Number blocked"

A few minutes ago I received a call from "Verizon" saying that a person made a purchase under my account to pick up 2 iphones in Honolulu. Jazmine said that if I did reset my account that all my lines would be cancelled. She sent me a link to reset my account but when she gave me a password to input indtead of me making a new one that's when it got suspicious. She even sounded angry when I questioned her. She said that if I didn't do this now by the time I called Verizon the phones would be picked up and my account would be closed. Then I realized she never even said or asked my name or verified my account in any way and I hunged up.

They called to tell me that someone made 2 iPhone 16 cellphones on my Verizon account. They had my account information and almost seem legit. They said that 4 of our lines were deactivated by the scammer. Then they wanted us to repay our bill to setup a new account. They said the money would be refunded the next day. While they were still on the line I called Verizon. Verizon fixed our account without payment. These people are evil. They deactivated the lines and tried to swindle money out of us. It shows up as Verizon when they call - don’t answer!
